This summer I stumbled across an Instagram account called wyntersunholidays and decided to send a message asking for help to find a very last minute sunshine holiday. If honest I made an immediate judgement of the company without having heard a single thing about them.....how wrong was I. This resulted in me receiving a very prompt response from one of the senior sales reps. I have never had such a formal yet pleasant and personal conversation on the phone with someone who's main aim was to take my money and sell me a holiday. Due to the last minute decision to head for a beach, the wyntersunholiday sales team liaised with me daily at my convenience taking into account that I was at work whilst trying to search for holidays. They dealt with me with patience whilst I was being indecisive and trolled numerous companies to find me a deal that worked for me price wise. On finding a deal that matched me in terms of luxury and price I was even contacted during out of office hours to ensure I did not lose out of such a find. This deal was a one week all inclusive holiday to Kos staying in the Sovereign Beach Hotel.
There are a number of reasons to visit Malta. Malta is packed with attractions and many places of interest, the sites to visit are endless. It’s worth taking a bus trip to the megalithic temples and the underground catacombs, but don’t forget the churches and forts are not to be missed.
The island has award winning blue flag beaches and the North of the Island offers unquestionably the best choice, so why not take a swim. One of the best reasons to visit Malta is the wonderful climate with over 300 days of sunshine you can enjoy an abundance of blue skies and lovely hot weather. For the family there is a fantastic water park in Bahar ic- Caghaq called Splash and Fun, we also recommend visiting the animal park in Marsascala which provides a petting and feeding experience of some of the rescued and donated animals in Malta.
If you love to party this is the place for your summertime. The Island comes alive during the local festa, a village feast which you can enjoy, filled with an array of fireworks, visions of lavishly decorated flags, statues and colourful streamers. We also recommend a trip to Gozo a 15min car and passenger ferry trip from Cirkewwa. Here you will have the choice of waterside restaurants and bars and is a great place for swimming, snorkelling and diving.
If you fancy discovering the nightlife scene, you can head down to Paceville near St Julian’s, where there is a large selection of bars, clubs and restaurants. Here you can dine and dance the night away into the early hours. If you’re feeling lucky it’s also worth visiting the casino within the same area.
